Letter From Your Brain

Every year 250, 000 people will suffer a traumatic brain injury. This is the story of one persons journey. Nobody told me what to expect upon release from the hospital, and my life as I knew it before was gone. It is my hope that by sharing my experiences, I can reach out to others embarking on the journey that is brain injury.

July 26, 2003. This changed everything.

ccused me of 'overplaying' my bumped head I'd indeed be a rich girl.

So here is a place to find some knowledge from the people that know best. On this site I have told my story. It seems that in this mad, mad world the journey is not only mine now, but my fathers as well. That only covers the microcosm of my inner circle. Now that I have attended ABI there are countless people I love who are survivors of Acquired or Traumatic Brain Injury. Please feel free to browse, or to email me with questions at adele@adelespot.com

Acquired Brain Injury Class

Brain Injury is such a strange thing...but I am happy to say that I am in a program now that is teaching me how to deal with it.  I will never be the person I was before, but as stated before, I am glad to be alive.  Ideally, one day I will find a way to deal with who and what I am.  All the people in that picture there are heroes.  Car accidents, strokes, aneurysms, tumors, you name it!  I am grateful to have a place where I am surrounded by professionals who can tell me I'm not crazy,  but even more grateful for my classmates who inspire me to keep growing and remaining teachable.
